Terror!
In case you haven't heard about this in your part of the world, I feel that it is my duty to report what was thought to be a terror attack in Boston yesterday. A few dozen "devices" were found scattered throughout the city yesterday, and Boston police believed that they were bombs. In reality, they were little more than a battery powered Lite Brite, part of a brilliant advertising campaign by the Cartoon Network.
I understand that we all have to be diligent in the wake of 9/11, but this is ridiculous. What's next, calling the FBI because my niece left her Easy Bake Oven on the curb outside her house? Should I call the Department of Home Security because my son's Play-Doh seems a bit suspicious and could actually be C-4?
Boston police lost their minds over this. They closed roads and subway tunnels and even sent the bomb squad out to "detonate" several of these things with a water cannon. In all, they estimate that they spent nearly $750k disarming these toys. How's that feel, Taxachusetts?
Now take a look at that thing. Does it look like a bomb to any reasonable person? Sure, it has batteries and wires attached, but so does my Walkman and I can get that bad boy through airport security with no problem! Maybe if this was a Batman movie and the Joker was on the loose in Gotham City, I could see someone thinking that it was a bomb.
And by the way, these "devices" were set up in nine other cities throughout the US, and they caused no such panic. In fact, they have been up for several weeks without anyone even noticing them.

if our "pseudodemocracy" is so unpleasant for you, maybe you should consider moving to somewhere else... maybe Lebanon or any other country that would be so open to your ideas and wishes of gay marriage and abortion. oh wait, if we allow gay marriage wouldn't that all butt eliminate the abortion problem? just a thought, sorry i got off track. i like how you libs are so quick to always point the finger (lite bright) at republicans as the only political group that does anything "deceitful". all politicians and political parties are dishonest in what goes on behind closed doors. to be that naive and say that only rep wire tape or fuck the homeless is exactly why we are were we are in this country. what has your party done to help the homeless? clinton was presidant for 8 yrs and there are still too many homeless. if he did anything other than get his cock sucked in the oval office, it didn't help and only wasted tax dollars on useless programs... a typical liberal agenda of throwing money at a social problem without ever acually fixing the problem. as for oil... i will admit that this is a problem in this country. i am for alternate sources of energy to operate with, but our oil use can hardly be blamed on any "party". it is a problem that all of us have perpetuated out of control.
back to my point, if you require someone to tell you what being an AMERICAN is, you are in the wrong country and i hope that you will be leaving soon, because you disgrace every person who has ever served this country in our military. you babble on about how bad this country is and how wrong we are as a society, well i would like you to go and complain and stand on a soap box in the middle of any middle eastern country or maybe china and see how well you are received. you are free to speak your mind, our constitution says so and our service personel fight for your right to free speech, but another cool thing about living in America...you are FREE TO LEAVE ANYTIME!
