Why Blog?

Well, I think that this is a good place to start this venture. There must be a good reason why I would want to post my thoughts and feelings on the world wide web, but I can't really narrow it down to one thing, so here's a list...

  1. I need a creative outlet other than my wife. I assure you that she has grown tiresome of my schtick.
  2. I truly believe that someone, somewhere will benefit from a random thought that I am having. Even if it just brings a smile to their face for a moment. Go ahead, call me a narcissist.
  3. I guess that you would call it a "midlife crisis", though I think that I am too young to be considered middle aged. Bottom line is that I can't afford the Corvette that would cure most men of this!
  4. Fat, drunk, and stupid is no way to go through life, son. I don't drink like I used to, so the "drunk" is out, but I can truly feel myself getting more and more stupid every day. I don't read enough and I never write anything anymore, so a blog is really a brain exercise for me. Ok, I'm still fat.
  5. I just bought a kick ass new computer, and there is only so much free cell one man can play.
  6. I haven't met any new people in quite a while. Though this isn't exactly Interpersonal Relationship 101, it is certainly a new community that I am happy to be part of.
  7. I am curious how I relate to people around the country and the world. I think that I am an "ordinary average guy", but maybe I am actually an extremist or radical.

I am sure that there are other reasons that I will discover over time. But for now, welcome to my blog!

Comments:
I wanted to be first!!! Dammit. I will be sure to add you to my blogroll so that the other miscreants in my blogosphere will be sure to torment you the way they do me.

Welcome to the world of blog, Flounder.

Jewish Elvis - I AM the King of Queens, or at least the King of Brooklyn! No way your life would make a better sitcom than mine. Maybe a better porno, but not a sit com. As for secrets, the names will be changed to protect the innocent, so your goose is cooked!

Brooke - Thanks for the welcome. Sorry you weren't there first. Maybe if you had an extra cup of Wawa coffee you would have been a little quicker!

Upon further review, I agree that your life would make a better sitcom than mine. And you haven't even begun to scratch the surface! You haven't touched upon either of your wacky sisters, your delusional aunt, or any of our "colorful" friends. Hell, that's another three to four seasons of comedic genius minimum. Quick, call Bakay!

BTW Brooke, JE is another Ventnor boy who now lives in sunny FLA. He and I went to FSU together and he now lives in Tampa.
